Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes: A blend of 3 grape varieties, Shiraz (39%), Grenache (43%) and Mataro (18%) (Also known as Mourvedre). Originating from Southern Rhone in France this blend is the perfect combo. The Grenache provides lighter, red fruit flavours as well as perfume and spice; Shiraz contributes richer fruit flavours and structure; while Mataro brings earthy and spicy elements and texture to the mix. The palate is dense and soft, displaying rich flavours of raspberry and cherry. This is the only wine we use American Oak on which creates a delicate spice on the finish. 14 months is spent in 1 and 2 year old French oak Hogsheads.
